 👉 Without (উই-দাউট)- ছাড়া, না করে, ব্যতীত,  না থাকা অবস্থায়

১. কোনো কিছু ছাড়া (Without + noun)

     Subject + verb + without + noun

     I cannot live without water. without + water (Noun) 
     আমি পানি ছাড়া বাঁচতে পারি না।

     She completed the work without help. without + help (Noun)
     সে সাহায্য ছাড়া কাজটি সম্পন্ন করেছে।

     We cannot succeed without effort. without + effort (Noun) 
     আমরা চেষ্টা ছাড়া সফল হতে পারি না।

     He left the house without permission. without + permission (Noun) 
     সে অনুমতি ছাড়া বাড়ি ছেড়ে চলে গেছে।

     She entered the room without shoes. without + shoes (Noun) 
     সে জুতা ছাড়া ঘরে প্রবেশ করল।

     A car cannot run without fuel. without + fuel (Noun) 
    জ্বালানি ছাড়া গাড়ি চলতে পারে না।

    They finished the project without money. without + money (Noun) 
     তারা টাকা ছাড়া প্রকল্পটি শেষ করেছে।

    You cannot learn English without practice. without + practice (Noun) 
    অনুশীলন ছাড়া তুমি ইংরেজি শিখতে পারবে না।

    A man cannot live without food. without + food (Noun)
   একজন মানুষ খাবার ছাড়া বাঁচতে পারে না।
   The poor child stayed without food for a day.
   গরিব শিশুটি একদিন খাবার ছাড়া ছিল।

এখানে for বসেছে কারণ for + সময়ের পরিমাণ (duration) বোঝায়। অর্থাৎ কোনো কাজ বা অবস্থা কতক্ষণ ধরে চলেছে তা প্রকাশ করতে for ব্যবহার করা হয়। for a day = একদিন ধরে / একদিন
   The workers worked without food for many hours.
   শ্রমিকরা অনেক ঘণ্টা খাবার ছাড়া কাজ করেছিল।
  We cannot survive without food and water.
   আমরা খাবার ও পানি ছাড়া বেঁচে থাকতে পারি না।
   He went to school without food in the morning.
   সে সকালে খাবার ছাড়া স্কুলে গিয়েছিল।
   The baby cannot sleep without food.
   শিশুটি খাবার ছাড়া ঘুমাতে পারে না।
   No living creature can survive without food. living creature = জীবিত প্রাণী
  কোনো জীব খাবার ছাড়া বেঁচে থাকতে পারে না।

  No living creature can survive without water.
 কোনো জীবিত প্রাণী পানি ছাড়া বেঁচে থাকতে পারে না।
 They traveled for two days without food.
  তারা দুই দিন খাবার ছাড়া ভ্রমণ করেছিল।
     We cannot imagine (ই-ম্যা-জিন) life without electricity.
     আমরা বিদ্যুৎ ছাড়া জীবন কল্পনা করতে পারি না।

     Life is impossible without air.
    বাতাস ছাড়া জীবন অসম্ভব।

    I cannot solve this problem without your help.
    তোমার সাহায্য ছাড়া আমি এই সমস্যার সমাধান করতে পারি না।

Without oxygen, fire cannot burn.

অক্সিজেন ছাড়া আগুন জ্বলতে পারে না।

২. কোনো কিছু ছাড়া (Without + pronoun)

     Subject + verb + without + pronoun

    He went there without me. Without + me (pronoun)
    সে আমাকে ছাড়া সেখানে গিয়েছিল।

    They cannot complete the project without us. Without + us (pronoun) 
    তারা আমাদের ছাড়া প্রকল্পটি সম্পন্ন করতে পারবে না।

    The team cannot win without you. Without + you (pronoun)
    তোমাকে ছাড়া দলটি জিততে পারবে না। 

    She finished the work without him. Without + him (pronoun)
    সে তাকে ছাড়া কাজটি শেষ করেছে। 

    The child cannot sleep without her. Without + her (pronoun)
    শিশুটি তাকে ছাড়া ঘুমাতে পারে না। 

    She cannot work without her computer.
     সে তার কম্পিউটার ছাড়া কাজ করতে পারে না।

    We won the match without them. Without + them (pronoun) 
     আমরা তাদের ছাড়া ম্যাচটি জিতেছি।

    I cannot open the door without it. Without + it (pronoun)
    এটি ছাড়া আমি দরজা খুলতে পারি না।

Cubans are inventing ways to survive without fuel.

কিউবার মানুষ জ্বালানি ছাড়াই বেঁচে থাকার উপায় উদ্ভাবন করছে।

মনে রাখার সহজ নিয়ম:

✅ Without + me/him/her/us/them/it ✔️

❌ Without + I/he/she/we/they ✖️

অর্থাৎ without-এর পরে সবসময় object form of pronoun বসে।

⚠️ নিয়ম: Without-এর পরে pronoun হলে object pronoun ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

Without + being + adjective
= কোনো অবস্থায় না হয়ে / কোনো গুণ ছাড়া / ... না হয়েই

এখানে being-এর পরে সাধারণত adjective (বিশেষণ) বসে।

নিচে পরীক্ষা ও দৈনন্দিন ইংরেজিতে ব্যবহৃত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কিছু বাক্য দেওয়া হলো—

1. You can't succeed without being honest.
   অর্থ: সৎ না হয়ে তুমি সফল হতে পারবে না।
2. He left without being angry.
   অর্থ: সে রাগান্বিত না হয়েই চলে গেল।
3. She answered the question without being nervous.
   অর্থ: সে নার্ভাস না হয়েই প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিল।
4. The child slept without being afraid.
   অর্থ: শিশুটি ভয় না পেয়েই ঘুমিয়ে পড়ল।
5. They solved the problem without being careless.
   অর্থ: তারা অসাবধান না হয়েই সমস্যার সমাধান করল।
6. You cannot lead people without being patient.
   অর্থ: ধৈর্যশীল না হয়ে মানুষকে নেতৃত্ব দেওয়া যায় না।
7. He spoke without being rude.
   অর্থ: সে অভদ্র না হয়েই কথা বলল।
8. She finished the work without being tired.
   অর্থ: সে ক্লান্ত না হয়েই কাজ শেষ করল।
9. We cannot learn English without being serious.
   অর্থ: আন্তরিক না হয়ে আমরা ইংরেজি শিখতে পারি না।
10. He accepted the truth without being upset.
    অর্থ: সে বিরক্ত না হয়েই সত্যটি মেনে নিল।
11. You can't become a good teacher without being kind.
    অর্থ: দয়ালু না হয়ে একজন ভালো শিক্ষক হওয়া যায় না।
12. She faced the challenge without being afraid.
    অর্থ: সে ভয় না পেয়েই চ্যালেঞ্জের মুখোমুখি হলো।
13. They completed the project without being late.
    অর্থ: তারা দেরি না করেই প্রকল্পটি সম্পন্ন করল।
14. He apologized without being forced.
    অর্থ: সে বাধ্য না হয়েই ক্ষমা চাইল।
15. You cannot stay healthy without being active.
    অর্থ: সক্রিয় না হয়ে সুস্থ থাকা যায় না।
16. You cannot win without being confident.
    অর্থ: আত্মবিশ্বাসী না হয়ে তুমি জিততে পারবে না।
17. She accepted the criticism without being offended.
    অর্থ: তিনি অপমানিত না হয়েই সমালোচনাটি গ্রহণ করলেন।
18. He completed the task without being impatient.
    অর্থ: সে অধৈর্য না হয়েই কাজটি শেষ করল।
19. We crossed the river without being wet.
    অর্থ: আমরা ভিজে না হয়েই নদী পার হলাম।
20. The students listened to the lecture without being noisy.
    অর্থ: ছাত্ররা হৈচৈ না করেই বক্তৃতা শুনল।
21. She expressed her opinion without being disrespectful.
    অর্থ: তিনি অসম্মানজনক না হয়েই নিজের মতামত প্রকাশ করলেন।

    অর্থ: সে আবেগপ্রবণ না হয়েই পরিস্থিতি সামলাল।

    অর্থ: বন্ধুসুলভ না হয়ে ভালো বন্ধু তৈরি করা যায় না।

    অর্থ: ছেলেটি লাজুক না হয়েই উত্তর দিল।

    অর্থ: তিনি অহংকারী না হয়েই সবার সঙ্গে কথা বললেন।
26. He solved the puzzle without being confused.
    অর্থ: সে বিভ্রান্ত না হয়েই ধাঁধাটির সমাধান করল।
27. We cannot improve without being disciplined.
    অর্থ: শৃঙ্খলাবদ্ধ না হয়ে আমরা উন্নতি করতে পারি না।
28. She entered the room without being noticed.
    অর্থ: তিনি কারও নজরে না পড়েই ঘরে প্রবেশ করলেন।
29. The patient recovered without being weak for long.
    অর্থ: রোগী দীর্ঘদিন দুর্বল না থেকেই সুস্থ হয়ে উঠলেন।
30. He made the decision without being influenced by others.
    অর্থ: সে অন্যদের দ্বারা প্রভাবিত না হয়েই সিদ্ধান্ত নিল।
31. He left without being seen.
    অর্থ: সে কারও চোখে না পড়েই চলে গেল।
32. The thief escaped without being caught.
    অর্থ: চোরটি ধরা না পড়েই পালিয়ে গেল।
33. She entered the room without being noticed.
    অর্থ: সে কারও নজরে না পড়েই ঘরে প্রবেশ করল।
34. He left without being recognized.
    অর্থ: সে পরিচিত না হয়েই চলে গেল।
35. The letter was sent without being signed.
    অর্থ: চিঠিটি স্বাক্ষর না করেই পাঠানো হয়েছিল।
36. He went home without being invited.
    অর্থ: সে আমন্ত্রণ না পেয়েই বাড়ি গেল।
37. The problem was solved without being discussed.
    অর্থ: সমস্যাটি আলোচনা না করেই সমাধান করা হয়েছিল।
38. She answered without being asked.
    অর্থ: তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা না করেই সে উত্তর দিল।
39. The documents were submitted without being checked.
    অর্থ: কাগজপত্র যাচাই না করেই জমা দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
40. He left without being thanked.
    অর্থ: তাকে ধন্যবাদ না দিয়েই সে চলে গেল।
41. The door was opened without being locked first.
    অর্থ: আগে তালা না লাগিয়েই দরজাটি খোলা হয়েছিল।
42. The child crossed the road without being stopped.
    অর্থ: শিশুটি বাধা না পেয়েই রাস্তা পার হলো।
43. She continued speaking without being interrupted.
    অর্থ: বাধাগ্রস্ত না হয়েই সে কথা বলতে থাকল।
44. He completed the work without being helped.
    অর্থ: কোনো সাহায্য না পেয়েই সে কাজটি শেষ করল।
45. The machine was used without being repaired.
    অর্থ: মেরামত না করেই যন্ত্রটি ব্যবহার করা হয়েছিল।
46. The food was eaten without being cooked properly.
    অর্থ: খাবারটি ঠিকমতো রান্না না করেই খাওয়া হয়েছিল।
47. He was promoted without being interviewed.
    অর্থ: সাক্ষাৎকার না দিয়েই তার পদোন্নতি হয়েছিল।
48. The message was deleted without being read.
    অর্থ: বার্তাটি না পড়েই মুছে ফেলা হয়েছিল।
49. The truth was accepted without being questioned.
    অর্থ: সত্যটি প্রশ্ন না করেই মেনে নেওয়া হয়েছিল।
50. The proposal was approved without being changed.
    অর্থ: প্রস্তাবটি কোনো পরিবর্তন না করেই অনুমোদিত হয়েছিল।

৩. কোনো কাজ না করে (Without + verb-ing) (না করে, না বলে প্রভৃতি)

     Subject + verb + without + verb-ing

    এখানে without-এর পরে verb-এর ing form হয়।

    He left without saying goodbye.
    বিদায় না বলে সে চলে গেল।

   He answered without seeing.

   সে না দেখে উত্তর দিয়েছে।

   He crossed the road without looking.

   সে না দেখে রাস্তা পার হলো।

   Do not make any decision without seeing.

   না দেখে কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত নিও না। 

    She passed the exam without studying hard.
    সে কঠোরভাবে পড়াশোনা না করেই পরীক্ষায় পাস করেছে।
    He entered the room without knocking.
    সে দরজায় নক না করে ঘরে ঢুকল।
    You cannot learn English without practicing.
   অনুশীলন ছাড়া তুমি ইংরেজি শিখতে পারবে না।

    Never go outside without wearing a mask.
    মাস্ক না পরে কখনো বাইরে যেও না।

    He completed the task without making any mistake. 
   সে কোনো ভুল না করেই কাজটি সম্পন্ন করেছে।

কিছু make + noun এর উদাহরণ: Make a mistake = ভুল করা, make a decision = সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া, make a plan = পরিকল্পনা করা, make an effort = চেষ্টা করা, make a promise = প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া

৪. কেউ ছাড়া (Without + person)

     I went there without my friend.
     আমি আমার বন্ধু ছাড়া সেখানে গিয়েছিলাম।
    The child cannot sleep without his mother.
    শিশুটি তার মা ছাড়া ঘুমাতে পারে না।
    She completed the work without any help.
   সে কোনো সাহায্য ছাড়া কাজটি সম্পন্ন করেছে।

৫. Without + article (a, an, the)

     সাধারণত without-এর পরে noun বসে, তবে প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী article থাকতে পারে।

     Article ছাড়া:

     He came without shoes.
     সে জুতা ছাড়া এসেছিল।

     Article সহ:

     He came without a shirt.
     সে একটি শার্ট ছাড়া এসেছিল।

     The baby slept without a pillow. 
      শিশুটি বালিশ ছাড়া ঘুমিয়েছে।

     He went out without an umbrella. 
    সে ছাতা ছাড়া বাইরে গেল।

     He went outside without an umbrella. 
     সে একটি ছাতা ছাড়া বাইরে গেল।

     She cannot live without the support of her family.
    সে তার পরিবারের সমর্থন ছাড়া বাঁচতে পারে না।

৬. Without + any 

     Without any = কোনো কিছু ছাড়াই

     He solved the problem without any difficulty.
     সে কোনো অসুবিধা ছাড়াই সমস্যাটি সমাধান করেছে।
     She left without any explanation.
    সে কোনো ব্যাখ্যা ছাড়াই চলে গেছে।

    I cannot do it without any reason.

    আমি কোনো কারণ ছাড়া এটি করতে পারি না।

    They entered the room without any permission.

    তারা কোনো অনুমতি ছাড়া ঘরে ঢুকেছে।

     I have finished the work without anyone's help.
     আমি কারো সাহায্য ছাড়া কাজটি শেষ করেছি।

     I have completed the work without any help from anyone.
     আমি কারো কাছ থেকে কোনো সাহায্য না নিয়ে কাজটি সম্পন্ন করেছি।

৭. Without + being + past participle (Passive অর্থে)

    কোনো কাজ না হয়ে বা না করিয়ে বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয়।

    without + being + V³  (আ ছাড়া)

    The work was completed without being checked.
    কাজটি পরীক্ষা করা ছাড়াই সম্পন্ন করা হয়েছিল।
    He was punished without being given a chance.
    তাকে সুযোগ দেওয়া ছাড়াই শাস্তি দেওয়া হয়েছিল।

    The boy ran away without being seen.
    ছেলেটি দেখা না দিয়েই পালিয়ে গেল।

৮. Without = Adverb (বাইরে / বাইরে দিকে) এগুলো আধুনিক ইংরেজিতে খুবই বিরল ও প্রাচীন ব্যবহার ।

এখানে without-এর পরে কোনো object থাকে না, তাই এটি Adverb হিসেবে কাজ করে।

He waited without.

সে বাইরে অপেক্ষা করছিল।

The guests remained without.

অতিথিরা বাইরে রইলেন।

Some stayed within, others remained without.

কেউ ভেতরে থাকল, অন্যরা বাইরে রইল।

The soldiers remained without.

সৈন্যরা বাইরে রইল।

Some stayed within, others without.

কেউ ভেতরে থাকল, অন্যরা বাইরে রইল।

She stood without while we talked.

আমরা কথা বলার সময় সে বাইরে দাঁড়িয়েছিল।

They were without, unable to enter.

তারা বাইরে ছিল, ভেতরে ঢুকতে পারেনি।

The children played without.

শিশুরা বাইরে খেলছিল।

He remained without all day.

সে সারাদিন বাইরে ছিল।

The servants waited without.

চাকররা বাইরে অপেক্ষা করছিল।

Leave your shoes without.

জুতা বাইরে রেখে যাও। (প্রাচীন ব্যবহার)

The crowd gathered without.

জনতা বাইরে জড়ো হয়েছিল।

এখানে without = outside (বাইরে)।

৯. Without + Object + Verb-ing

অর্থ: কাউকে ... না করে

He left without me seeing him.

→ আমি তাকে না দেখেই সে চলে গেল।

She went away without anyone noticing.

→ কেউ খেয়াল না করেই সে চলে গেল।

They entered without us knowing.

→ আমাদের না জানিয়েই তারা ঢুকেছে।

He left the house without me knowing.

→ আমার জানা ছাড়াই সে বাড়ি থেকে চলে গেছে।

973. The thief escaped without the police knowing.
   → পুলিশ না জেনেই চোর পালিয়ে গেল।

He left without me knowing.
→ সে আমাকে না জানিয়ে চলে গেল।
She entered the room without anyone noticing.
→ সে কারো খেয়াল না করেই ঘরে ঢুকল।
They finished the work without us helping.
→ তারা আমাদের সাহায্য ছাড়া কাজটি শেষ করল।
I can't solve this problem without you explaining.
→ তুমি ব্যাখ্যা না করলে আমি এই সমস্যার সমাধান করতে পারব না।
The child crossed the road without his mother seeing.
→ শিশুটি তার মায়ের না দেখেই রাস্তা পার হলো।
He borrowed my book without me allowing him.
→ সে আমার অনুমতি না নিয়েই আমার বই ধার নিয়েছে।
She went out without her father knowing.
→ সে তার বাবাকে না জানিয়েই বাইরে গেল।
952. We started the meeting without the manager arriving.
   → ম্যানেজার না আসতেই আমরা সভা শুরু করলাম।
953. He spoke without anyone interrupting (ইন্টারাপ্টিং) .

   → কেউ বাধা না দিয়েই সে কথা বলল।
954. They left without us saying goodbye.

   → তারা আমাদের বিদায় না জানিয়েই চলে গেল।

১০. Without + Possessive + Verb-ing

কোনো ব্যক্তি কোনো কাজ না করেই অন্য কাজ করেছে বোঝায়।

955. He left without Rahim's knowing.
   → রহিম না জেনেই সে চলে গেল।
956. She came without Rahim's seeing her.
   → রহিম তাকে না দেখেই সে এলো।
957. They started the meeting without Rahim's arriving.
   → রহিম না আসতেই তারা সভা শুরু করল।

958. I cannot do it without Rahim's helping me.
   → রহিম আমাকে সাহায্য না করলে আমি এটি করতে পারি না।
959. The work was completed without Rahim's checking it.
   → রহিম এটি পরীক্ষা না করেই কাজটি সম্পন্ন হলো।

960. She took the money without anyone's noticing.

   → কেউ লক্ষ্য না করেই সে টাকা নিয়েছে।

961. He left without my knowing.
   → আমি না জেনেই সে চলে গেল।
962. She came without my noticing.
   → আমি খেয়াল না করেই সে এলো।
963. They started the meeting without our arriving.
   → আমাদের না পৌঁছিয়েই তারা সভা শুরু করেছিল।
964. He entered the room without our seeing him.
   → আমাদের তাকে দেখা ছাড়াই সে ঘরে ঢুকল।
965. She went out without her parents' knowing.
   → তার বাবা-মা না জেনেই সে বাইরে গেল।
966. I cannot do it without your helping me.
   → তুমি আমাকে সাহায্য না করলে আমি এটি করতে পারি না।
967. The teacher began the class without the students' coming.
    → শিক্ষার্থীরা না এসেই শিক্ষক ক্লাস শুরু করলেন।
968. He passed the exam without his friends' expecting it.
   → তার বন্ধুরা এটি আশা না করেই সে পরীক্ষায় পাস করেছে।
969. She left without anyone's noticing.
   → কারও খেয়াল না করেই সে চলে গেল।
970. The baby fell asleep without its mother knowing.
   → মা না জেনেই শিশুটি ঘুমিয়ে পড়ল।
971. We completed the work without the manager's checking it.
   → ম্যানেজার পরীক্ষা না করেই আমরা কাজ শেষ করলাম।
972. He borrowed my book without my allowing him.
   → আমি তাকে অনুমতি না দিয়েই সে আমার বই ধার নিয়েছিল।
973. She made the decision without her family's supporting her.
   → তার পরিবার তাকে সমর্থন না করেই সে সিদ্ধান্তটি নিয়েছিল।

make a decision = একটি সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া, make the decision = সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া,make a choice = একটি পছন্দ করা, make a plan = পরিকল্পনা করা, make a promise = প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া, make a mistake = ভুল করা, make an effort = চেষ্টা করা 

মনে রাখার সহজ নিয়ম: যখন কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত, পরিকল্পনা, প্রতিশ্রুতি, পছন্দ ইত্যাদি "তৈরি" বা "গঠন" করা বোঝায়, তখন সাধারণত make ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Take- নেওয়া → take + book, brick, bag, pen, medicine প্রভৃতি জিনিস হাতে নেওয়া, বহন করা বা গ্রহণ করার ক্ষেত্রে take ক্রিয়া ব্যবহার করা হয়।

 make + decision, plan, choice, promise, mistake → কিছু সৃষ্টি বা নির্ধারণ করা।

974. He sold the car without his brother's agreeing.
   → ভাইয়ের সম্মতি ছাড়াই সে গাড়িটি বিক্রি করল।
975. The children went outside without their mother's knowing.
   → মা না জেনেই বাচ্চারা বাইরে গেল।
976. She completed the project without anyone's helping her.
   → কারও সাহায্য ছাড়াই সে প্রকল্পটি শেষ করল।
977. Rahim left without his father's knowing.
   → রহিম তার বাবাকে না জানিয়েই চলে গেল।

       father এর possessive রূপ→ father's
978. The company changed the rules without the employees' knowing.
   → কর্মচারীরা না জেনেই কোম্পানি নিয়ম পরিবর্তন করল। 

        employee's = একজন কর্মচারীর / employees' = একাধিক কর্মচারীর

979. He succeeded without anyone's believing in him.
   → কেউ তার ওপর বিশ্বাস না রেখেও সে সফল হলো।

believe in someone = কারও ওপর আস্থা রাখা / কারও যোগ্যতায় বিশ্বাস করা। I believe in you.-আমি তোমার ওপর বিশ্বাস রাখি। She believes in hard work.-সে কঠোর পরিশ্রমে বিশ্বাস করে। Nobody believed in him.-কেউ তার ওপর আস্থা রাখেনি।
believe someone = কারও কথা সত্য বলে বিশ্বাস করা। (যেমন: I believe him. = আমি তার কথা বিশ্বাস করি।) 

এখানে believe on কথ্য বা লিখিত ইংরেজিতে ব্যবহার করা হয় না।

১১. Without- না থাকায়

982. Without food, the poor family suffered greatly.

   → খাবার না থাকায় দরিদ্র পরিবারটি অনেক কষ্ট পেয়েছিল।

983. Without food, the travelers felt exhausted.

   → খাবার না থাকায় ভ্রমণকারীরা খুব ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়েছিল।

986. Without money, he could not pay the hospital bill.

   → টাকা না থাকায় সে হাসপাতালের বিল পরিশোধ করতে পারেনি।

987. Without money, they had to depend on others.

   → টাকা না থাকায় তাদের অন্যদের ওপর নির্ভর করতে হয়েছিল।

1. Without- না থাকলে

1.01 Without food, a person becomes weak.

    → খাবার না থাকলে একজন মানুষ দুর্বল হয়ে যায়।

        Food (ফুড)-খাবার    ব্যাখ্যা: মানুষ বা প্রাণী যা খায়।

        ব্যাখ্যা: Breakfast, lunch, dinner-এর মতো নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের খাবার বোঝায়।

        Meal: She cooked a delicious meal. সে সুস্বাদু আহার রান্না করেছে।

        Cuisine (কুই-জিন)- কোন দেশের  রান্না

       ব্যাখ্যা: কোনো দেশ বা অঞ্চলের রান্নার ধরন বোঝায়। যেমন: Bangladeshi cuisine.

         Cuisine: I enjoy Italian cuisine. আমি ইতালীয় রান্না পছন্দ করি।

       Dish (ডিশ)- পদ

        ব্যাখ্যা: একটি নির্দিষ্ট রান্না বা খাবারের আইটেম বোঝায়।

         Dish: This chicken dish is very tasty. এই মুরগির পদটি  খুব সুস্বাদু।

        Fare (ফেয়ার)- খাবার (বিশেষত হোটেল/রেস্তোরাঁর)

        ব্যাখ্যা: সাহিত্যিক বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

          Fare: The hotel serves excellent fare. হোটেলটি চমৎকার খাবার পরিবেশন করে।

        Refreshment (রি-ফ্রেশ-মেন্ট)- হালকা নাস্তা ও পানীয়

       ব্যাখ্যা: চা, কফি, বিস্কুট ইত্যাদি হালকা আপ্যায়ন বোঝায়।

         Refreshment: Light refreshments were served after the meeting.

        সভার পরে হালকা নাস্তা পরিবেশন করা হয়েছিল।

        Nourishment (নারিশ-মেন্ট)- পুষ্টিকর খাদ্য  ব্যাখ্যা: শরীরের পুষ্টি জোগায় এমন খাবার।

          Nourishment: Milk provides good nourishment for children.

        দুধ শিশুদের জন্য ভালো পুষ্টি জোগায়।

        Nutrition (নিউ-ট্রিশন)- পুষ্টি  ব্যাখ্যা: খাবার থেকে প্রাপ্ত পুষ্টি বা পুষ্টিবিজ্ঞান বোঝায়।

          Nutrition: Good nutrition is essential for health. সুস্বাস্থ্যের জন্য ভালো পুষ্টি অপরিহার্য।

        Provisions (প্রো-ভিশনজ)- খাদ্যসামগ্রী  ব্যাখ্যা: ভ্রমণ বা দীর্ঘ সময়ের জন্য মজুত রাখা খাবার।

          Provisions: We packed enough provisions for the trip.

        আমরা ভ্রমণের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত খাদ্যসামগ্রী নিয়েছিলাম।

       Edibles (এডিবলজ)- ভক্ষণযোগ্য খাবার  ব্যাখ্যা: যা খাওয়া যায় এমন সবকিছু।

         Edibles: Keep the edibles in the refrigerator. ভক্ষণযোগ্য খাবারগুলো ফ্রিজে রাখো।
